Does this sound like you?
You are capable. Accomplished. You have taken care of things, and people, and responsibilities for a long time.
And something still feels off.
Not a crisis. Not a breakdown. More like a quiet awareness that keeps surfacing: is this actually what I want, or did I just get used to it?
You might know the answer. Most women in this season do. They just haven't said it out loud yet — because naming it makes it real, and real means deciding.
It might sound selfish. It might be unattainable. You might be judged for wanting more than what you already have.
So you tell yourself it is what it is. You get by. You wait for a better moment that hasn't arrived yet.
You are not stuck. You are functioning. You are managing.
You have stopped expecting things to feel aligned. Not because you gave up. Because you got used to it.
What if that changed?

Not in a dramatic, start-over way. Something quieter and more lasting.
You know what you want from work — and it fits who you actually are. The relationship that has been strained gets easier, not because the other person changed, but because you stopped carrying what was never yours. You follow through on the things you have been putting off for years. You feel more like yourself than you have in a long time.
That is what one client described: "I'm now thriving in areas I once felt stuck in, and I feel more capable, energized, and grounded than ever before. It pays off in every area of life."
Not because she became someone different. Because she stopped living on terms she had never chosen.

Here is what I see, again and again.
The problem is not that you don't know what you want. Most women I work with know. They just haven't said it out loud yet — because naming it makes it real, and real means deciding.
Somewhere along the way, you learned to measure yourself by what others expected. You built a life that looked right from the outside and felt slightly off from the inside. The wanting feels selfish. Admitting it out loud feels like a risk. So you hold back and call it practical.
It is not a character flaw. It is a framework built around everyone else's expectations — and you have been living inside it long enough that it feels like your own.
I know this because I lived it. I spent decades in mission-driven work I loved. When I finally stepped away, the anticipation was harder than the transition itself. The question was not "what do I do next?" It was "who am I when I am not defined by what I do?"
The transition turned out to be steadier and more purposeful than I imagined. Not because it was easy. Because I stopped waiting for the right moment and started designing what was actually mine.
That work is what By Design is built on.
By Design: a 10-session coaching series
The arc: from drifting in a transition to a clear, intentional picture of who you are
and how you want to live.
Phase 1: Discover — Knowing where you actually are (Sessions 1-3)
Session 1
Your Life, Right Now
Session 2
The Woman You Are at Your Best
Session 3
Your Energy
The questions in this phase are ones most women have never been asked directly: Who are you when you're operating at your truest — and are you living congruently with her?
Phase 2: Uncover— Removing what stands in the way (Sessions 4-6)
Session 4
Courage
Session 2
Your Inner Life
Session 3
Your Voice & Influence
This is where the real work happens:
What are you telling yourself about who you are and what's possible — and is it true?
Phase 3: Design— Building the life you're choosing (Sessions 7-10)
Session 7
Focus & Action
Session 8
Vitality & Presence
Session 9
Your Purpose
Session 10
Life by Design
The final session is not a wrap-up. It is a commitment:
What are you here for right now — and what does your designed life actually look like?
The bi-weekly pace is intentional.
You need time between sessions to process and apply what shifts. The work builds on itself.
What you receive
Each session is 60 minutes, 1:1, virtual*.
After each session you receive a written summary — what we covered, your homework, and your next steps — so nothing gets lost between conversations.
Between sessions: the frameworks we build together stay with you, and you have direct support when something comes up that cannot wait.
The pacing is yours. No rushing. No one-size-fits-all agenda.
What changes is not one thing — and that is the point.
*I am open to coaching two individuals together and/or in person sessions (depending on location).
What clients say...
"Working with Tricia Dahl at Bloom Beyond has been one of the most powerful experiences of my life. She has a rare ability to see the whole person. She helped me discover my own strengths and learn how to live them out with intention and confidence. I'm now thriving in areas I once felt stuck in, and I feel more capable, energized, and grounded than ever before. It pays off in every area of life."
Catherine B.
"This experience reminded me that we're all human — trying to hold everything together, often putting ourselves last. It helped me start paying attention to what might be holding me back."
Sue L.
"Being comfortable is likely keeping me from extraordinary. Coaching with you has been an incredible and transformative experience — truly a gift."

This is for you if...
-
You are capable and functioning, and something still feels off.
-
You are in, anticipating or approaching a transition — career shift, retirement, empty nest, or a sense that the next chapter should feel different from this one.
-
You are done waiting for the right moment.
This is not for you if...
-
You are in acute crisis and need clinical support (I am glad to point you in the right direction)
-
You want someone to tell you what to do
-
This works best for women who are ready to reflect and apply between sessions, not just show up for the hour
A few questions I hear often
I'm not sure I'm ready.
Most women who do this work said the same thing before they started. Ready tends to come after the first session, not before.
How do I know if this is right for me?
The clarity call is designed to answer that. We'll talk about where you are and what you're hoping for. If By Design is not the right fit, I'll say so.
I've tried coaching before and it didn't stick.
The sequence matters. By Design is structured specifically for the arc of a mid-life transition — not generic goal-setting, but a designed path from assessment to celebration. If coaching has felt generic before, this will feel different.
Is this only for women approaching retirement?
No. By Design is for any woman at a meaningful transition point — career shift, empty nest, a decade turning, a relationship changing, or simply a sense that the next chapter should feel different from this one.
Not quite ready for a call?
A Bloom Beyond workshop is a good place to start. It's a 90-minute experience designed to give you a clear next step — no commitment required.
You have been capable your whole life. You have taken care of things, and people, and responsibilities. At some point it is worth asking what it looks like to take your own life seriously — on purpose, from the inside out.
That conversation starts here.
